Ontario Temporary Plates For Used Car

The Ministry of Transportation offers a 10 day temporary plate sticker for certain situations.

If you have purchased a car without safety and emissions, you cannot drive or register the car. To be able to legally drive the car to the garage, you must get insurance on the vehicle and bring the documentation that proves you are the new owner, and they will provide you with a temporary plate and temporary plate sticker.
The Ministry of Transportation asserts that you have six days to register the vehicle once purchased, we suggest you abide by this six day Timeline.
